Overview

The Spanish Golden Visa is a residence by-investment programme that enables non-EU investors the rights to reside, work and study in Spain in exchange of an investment of at least €500,000.

Opportunity to obtain citizenship after 2 years of effective residence for citizens of Latin America, the Philippines, and Sephardi Jews and 10 years for other nationals.

Who’s eligible ?

Anyone from outside the EU can apply for a Golden Visa in Spain, provided they have a clean criminal record.

Investment options

Fulfill one of the following investment options :

REAL
ESTATE

Buy real estate with a minimum value of €500,000. You can invest in more than 1 property.

BANK
DEPOSIT

Issue a bank deposit of at least €1 million.

INVEST
IN SHARES

Invest at least €1 million in shares of Spanish businesses.

GOVERNMENT
BONDS

Contribute €2 million in government bonds.

INVEST IN
A BUSINESS

Start a business in Spain that generates employment, contributes to technological and/or scientific innovation, or has a strong socio-economic impact.

Process

Select a property and complete the legal documentation process in Spain.

Receive police confirmation regarding application eligibility.

Complete the qualifying investment.

Meet all application documentation requirements.

Submit the application in Spain or at a Spanish Consulate.

Residence permits are usually issued after a 30 days consideration period and have an initial duration of two years, renewable for five years upon request, provided that a minimum investment in Spain is maintained by the applicant.
